It's the end of the world as we know it ... maybe ...

So, I'm considering staying up until 12:15 PDT [0015 Zulu for me] to see if the world actually ends. At/about that time local for me CERN is going to fire up the Large Hadron Collider for it's next stage of testing.

Not that I can do anything about it if the High Forehead Types from CERN in Europe have something happen they are positive won't. Like, oh ... micro-singularities, some sort of strange matter, etc. Read more here: Safety of the Large Hadron Collider.

So we either get a look deeper into physics than we ever have seen before or we get this.

I guess it all depends on the winds of quantum math and physics.

But then again ... we could get this. :}
