A comment on Clinton's 'red telephone ad'...

I'm figuring that most of you in the US have either seen the now infamous Hillary Clinton 'red telephone ad' or have heard about the resultant brew-ha-ha it's caused. The one that talks about middle of the night crisis phone calls, who's the best candidate to deal with them and, implying by association, this candidate is best capable of keeping your family safe.

Ri-ght.

This ad wants you to believe that because Clinton lived in the White House she was not only privy to every crisis that ever happened but by that association, she has all the experiences and knowledge of how to handle them. Not sure how that should make sense unless she was the one actually running the country at the time while Bill slept in. But hey - their family life is *not* my problem.

But with this ad we're talking about someone who wants to convince us that she's got the intelligence and know-how on how to run the country. So why for the love of God didn't her publicity researchers do their job and discover that one of the young ladies shown archive film clips of one young child that was shot several years ago] is a serious Obama supporter these days. And has come out and said on national news that she'd love to meet Obama and do an political ad with him?

Come on, Hillary - do your research or get people in your campaign who can. You're not instilling any confidence in your knowledge and abilities.

But actually, I guess I should thank you. You did yourself no favors with this one and got a lot of free publicity for Obama.

Uummm.... half a shot of 'Yukon Jack Perma Frost Schnapps' on the rocks [half a shot 'coz I'm a wimp these days when it comes to booze]. 'Perma Frost' is peppermint schnapps with a cinnamon kick.

Today was the first day of doing my first half routine of weights at the "Y" on top of 70 minutes on the treadmill. First half means 5 out of 11 weight machines in the '12 Week Workout' program. Not horribly sore, more like a good sore. But I haven't had a 'nip' in forever and it sounded good.
