I haz the sicks...
Jan. 31st, 2009 03:46 amSo those of you out there who are expecting something coming in from me in the next day or so, you've got a bit of a wait on your hands.
Yesterday I was just fine. This am early [0500 30 Jan] I woke up praying I wasn't going to puke before I got to the bathroom. At 22 hours later [ 0345 31 Jan], the 'gotta puke' feeling has slowed somewhat, but I have to be *really* careful what I put on board. I *really* wish I had some ginger-ale right now, but there's no way I'm leaving the house to get it. Tea and flat cola seem to be staying down in small doses. And, of course, no generic crackers to be had, just flavored ones. I do have some pretty bland, minimal salt tortilla chips so we'll see about those.
And just because I'm moving out of the 'Technicolor yawn' stage, doesn't mean the end is in sight. The body's urge to 'clean out the system' has just moved on to a lower location. When standing up isn't so risky, I'm going to dig through my EMT kit and see what I've got in the way of OTC's stashed in there. [I don't hand them out to patients, but they've keep me going a time or two.]
This is the first time I've been this sick since Himself moved out over a year ago and it's freaky how scary it is to be sick by one's self.
No like. No like at all.
