"Rules: Don't take too long to think about it. Fifteen books you've read that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes."
I've bolded the non-fiction one.
Moon is a Harsh Mistress - Robert Heinlein
We Almost Lost Detroit - John Fuller
Book of Night with Moon - Diane Duane
Rihannsu: The Bloodwing Voyage - Diane Duane Star Trek
 Lord Darcy - Randall Garrett
Harper Hall Trilogy - Anne McCaffrey
 Starship Troopers - Robert Heinlein
Stranger in a Strange Land - Robert Heinlein
All of the 'Dresden Files' - Jim Butcher
All of the 'Warriors' series - juvie cat novels - Erin Hunter
All of the 'Pride of Chanur' series - C.J. Cherryh
The Remarkable Exploits of Lancelot Biggs: Spaceman - Nelson Bond [one of my first exposures to 'Space Opera']
Catwings Series - Ursula K. Le Guin
Betty Crocker Cook Book - Betty Crocker Kitchens [And yes, I've read it cover to cover. it's my 'go to' book for all the basics]
And in the negative column:
Fundamentals of Respiratory Care - Dr. Donald Egan It was called 'Fundamentals of Inhalation Therapy' when I had to read it in the early 70's. To this day it is the only book guaranteed to put me to sleep before getting past the intro.
