This is information on the purposed web project that my ship's XO - Scott Nakada - is currently involved in [he's the prop master]. They are hoping to get funding from the Pepsi "Good Idea" project. Here's what he writes about it.

The top 100 voted submissions get posted to the next month, the top 2 places get funding for their project.
They do have a facebook page and have the support of William Shatner, Walter Koenig, Mike Okuda, and many, many more stars, and celebrities. They want to do a series of 22-24 webisodes (full hour long) a year. It’s a film school set up that currently is planned to not cost the students a dime, the professionals will be passing along what they know, to the students, and the students will be learning valuable skills and getting real world experience. But for this to happen like us with our film project (they also have volunteered to help us if we ever get rolling) they need funding.

Note: Scott was involved in "Star Trek: Of Gods and Men" [props master, art dept, extra, etc] and makes props for Roddenberry.com, among others. Another ship member, Peter Christian, was also involved in the project [producer, art director, extra, etc]. I love my ship. We are so multi-faceted and geeky.
