Ah-huh...

Am I the only one out there who thinks the new Star Wars film coming out looks ... well ... dorky?

I mean honest-to-Deity, for the first couple of months when the ads for it started to show up, I thought it was a video game being released to jump start the release of the movie. When it finally clicked that it *was* the movie I think I just sat and stared at the TV screen for a couple of minutes before saying something like 'Well, that looks dorky.'.

And it doesn't even look like good video game graphics to boot. My avatar in Second Life is 'cleaner' than that.

Of all the films to be release over the last few months, this one is on my 'don't bother list'. Someone want to convince me I'm wrong about this? I'm willing to listen.

Dr. Who episode takes Hugo!

The Dr. Who 3rd season episode "Blink:" took this year's Hugo Award for best TV episode. Hugo Awards.

Sadly, "Star Trek: Of Gods and Men" did not take best fan production. BUMMER! I have a soft spot for this production considering there are members of my Starfleet ship, the USS Thermopylae [Peter Christian and Scott Nakada], who are part of the production team.
