Dr. Who episode takes Hugo!
Aug. 11th, 2008 07:54 pmThe Dr. Who 3rd season episode "Blink:" took this year's Hugo Award for best TV episode. Hugo Awards.
Sadly, "Star Trek: Of Gods and Men" did not take best fan production. BUMMER! I have a soft spot for this production considering there are members of my Starfleet ship, the USS Thermopylae [Peter Christian and Scott Nakada], who are part of the production team.
We was gypped. :{

Aug. 9th, 2008 02:31 pmOkay, I admit it. I'm a heathen. A heretic. A 'Johnny Come Lately' or what-have-you. I found 'Dr. Who' late in life. Like the Ninth Doctor late. And no matter how hard I try, I just don't click with any of the previous Doctors. Doctor's Nine and Ten are *my* Doctors and I'm content with that.
But for those of you who do, the BBC is offering 8 'Dr Who' ebooks for free download on their site.
So if Doctor's One through Eight float your catamaran, go here Classic Dr. Who ebooksl, download and enjoy.

Neil Gaiman wrote for Dr. Who? This is an extrapolation of The Tenth Doctor and the classic dialoge from "Hamlet":
"To be, or not to be, that is the question. Weeelll.... More of 'A' question really. Not 'THE' question. Because, well, I mean, there are billions and billions of questions out there, and well, when I say billions, I mean, when you add in the answers, not just the questions, weeelll, you're looking at numbers that are positively astronomical and... for that matter the other question is what you lot are doing on this planet in the first place, and er... did anyone try just pushing this little red button?"
Not only is that all, that should be quite enough. :>
