No apologies extended. Sorry.

Saw this initially on the filk LJ. Someone started it and a couple of us jumped in to play. Sadly, I finished it. Will not *even* make a claim that it's good. Just that it's done.
Origami Plane to Be Launched From Space
March 27, 2008 -- Japanese scientists and origami masters hope to launch a paper airplane from space and learn from its trip back to Earth.
It's no joke. A prototype passed a durability test in a wind tunnel, Japan's space agency adopted it for feasibility studies, and a well-known astronaut is interested in participating. So, any who... here's the end result inspired by this wonderful piece of info.

O-O-O-O-O-rigami!
Folding paper up into a plane
Where the air is not, it's getting hot!
With reentry somewhere over Spain!
O-O-O-O-O-rigami!
Little paper planes to sail the skies.
Hypersonic tests show the shape that’s best.
JAXA hopes to make the project fly.
Nippon hopes to excel
with a skill that they know oh so well.
And the builders R-I-I-I-I-P!
To build a folded ship.
Hoping this will work with Origami
Origami. (shout) Real Cheap!
Sometimes stuff just has to come out before my brain explodes...
